Villages Along The Sea: The Cinque Terre, Italy
A popular tourist destination in Italy is the Cinque Terre, which is part of the Italian Riviera. A coastal region in the northwestern portion of Italy.
There are 5 villages in the Cinque Terre: Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Manarola, Monterosso and Corniglia. If you desire, you can hike between each village or take the local train. The beauty of this region is that it is nearly car-free! Aside from a few locations, most of the villages are for walking only.
The Cinque Terre is a great destination to unwind, see how the locals fish and grow vineyards, catch a sunset, hike the hills or simply eat your way through the towns. Whatever your desire, you won't be disappointed with a trip to this region!
