Pak Ou Caves - Luang Prabang, Laos

The Pak Ou Caves are located a two-hour boat ride (or a one-hour ride in a tuktuk taxi) from the city of Luang Prabang, Laos.  These caves are one of the most religious symbols of the Luang Prabang Province.  Over the years, thousands of Buddhist statues have been deposited here.

The entrance to the caves is amazing.  Situated on a steep cliff and lush jungles, the set of stairs will guide you into the cave where you can view the collection of statues.  Although this is primarily a religious site, many visitors do make it a stop on their journey while traveling the Mekong River.

Travel along the Mekong River from China to Southern Vietnam is a journey you will never forget.

Safe travels,

Marla
