Floating Villages of Cambodia

Most people visit Cambodia to see the UNESCO site of Angkor Wat. However, if you want a glimpse of life in a floating village then a visit to a village on Tonle Sap Lake needs to be on your itinerary. You can see how the locals live without running water, natural gas or other amenities many people find necessary in their daily lives.

See schools, restaurants and homes on stilts. Get to know the lifestyle of local villagers on floating homes.

Tonle Sap Lake dries out during the dry season (from October to March), so the best time for visiting is the wet season, namely during late April to September.
